Halfway Through the Tails of the World – Tampa Bay Edition!

We’ve officially reached the halfway mark in my Tails of the World journey, and what an adventure it has been so far! I’m beyond thrilled to be representing Tampa Bay in this global book and charity project, all while celebrating the incredible dogs that make our city shine.

We kicked things off with the dashing Murphy, who lit up downtown Tampa with his charm and modeling skills. At the historic Henry B. Plant Park, he balanced his best "Blue Steel" look with some serious squirrel-watching—multitasking at its finest!

Next up was the delightfully energetic Spunky. True to her name, she brought all the sass and spark to the streets of Ybor City. Between the rich brick-lined history and her effervescent personality, it was a session filled with character and laughter.

From cityscapes to the sea, we headed to Apollo Beach where I had the joy of photographing Monkey, a striking Chinese Crested. As the sun dipped into the horizon, we captured the kind of golden hour magic that makes every photographer’s heart sing.

Just a few days later, I had an emotional session with Phil—a soulful pup who could be the twin of one of my own beloved dogs who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. Phil reminded me of the deep connections we form with our pets. His love for squeaky toys (and posing for the camera!) made for a truly heartfelt experience.

Of course, we couldn’t leave the other side of the bay out! Our most recent adventure took us to the iconic St. Pete Pier with the stunning LaForge. Bathed in golden sunset light, he struck pose after pose like a pro. That skyline and his regal presence were a match made in photographic heaven.

It’s been an honor capturing these amazing dogs and telling their stories through my lens. With five more pups to meet and photograph, the journey is far from over—but I already feel so lucky to be part of this beautiful project that combines art, purpose, and love for our furry companions.

Stay tuned for more adventures from Tails of the World – Tampa Bay!
